How to use it

Place the instrument at the point to be checked, away from direct sunlight, heat sources and draughts that would distort the reading. In refrigerators, put it in the middle of the shelf and read it after a few minutes. Infrared models are aimed at the surface to be measured, without touching it and from a short distance, and measure surface temperature only. On digital models, replace the batteries when the display becomes dim.
