The Japanese saw is a hand saw with a thin blade and fine teeth that cuts on the pull stroke, that is, when pulled towards you, with a long handle and narrow, precise cuts.
What it is for
Used for woodworking in the joinery shop and for cutting solid wood, panels and battens, on the bench or on site.
How to use it
Hold it with both hands and start the cut with a few light pulls, guiding the blade with your thumb. Continue pulling with long, regular strokes, without pressing or forcing on the return stroke, because the thin blade bends. Clamp the workpiece and change the blade when it cuts poorly.
