What it is
Single-phase motor protection circuit breaker Friggeri SM-SYM 6,3-10 under the Friggeri brand. Product designed for electricians and health and safety officers, for electrical installation and electrical protection work.
The motor protection switch is a device that starts and stops an electric motor and protects it against overload, with an adjustable trip threshold; the starter houses it in a box with plug and socket.
What it is for
Used to power construction sites where mains supply is unavailable or insufficient, in the installation and maintenance of residential and industrial electrical systems and for the electrical protection of people and installations.
How to use it
It is installed by a qualified electrician, with the line de-energised. Set the trip threshold to the current shown on the motor plate and connect conductors of the correct cross-section. Check that it is suitable for the single-phase or three-phase motor. If it trips, find the cause of the overload before resetting it.
