What it is

Braided hemp and sealing thread are fibres wound onto the threads of fittings to make them watertight in place of tape.
What it is for
Used in the installation and maintenance of plumbing systems and for sealing joints, gaps and service penetrations.
How to use it
Wind the fibre into the grooves of the male thread, in the direction of tightening, and if the data sheet specifies it, cover with sealing paste. Screw in the fitting without forcing more than necessary. After assembly, pressurise the system and check for leaks.
