What it is

The turnbuckle is a body with opposite threads at the ends which, when turned, shortens or lengthens the connection and tensions ropes, cables and chains.

Used for anchoring to walls, ceilings and floors.

How to use it

Screw the two end fittings, eye or hook type, into the central body, attach them to the fixed points and turn the body to tension. Always leave a good length of thread engaged and lock with a lock nut or wire. Choose a load rating suited to the load.
