What it is

The lopper is a pruning shear with two long handles, held with both hands, for cutting branches of larger diameter than an ordinary pruning shear can cut. Cordless versions are also available.

What it is for

Used in grounds care, from routine maintenance to seasonal work and for pruning branches, hedges and trees.

How to use it

Choose it according to the maximum cutting diameter; the telescopic handle is for high branches. Cut close to the point of insertion, with the blade on the side that stays on the plant, without twisting the tool. For thick branches, make several passes. With long handles, work away from power lines. After use, clean, disinfect and oil the blades.
