What it is

The wiring tie is a toothed nylon strip with a snap-action head, tightened around cables and wires to bundle them together; coloured versions are used to tell them apart and releasable ones can be reopened.

What it is for

Used for wiring control panels and installations and in the installation and maintenance of plumbing systems.

How to use it

Wrap it around the bundle, insert the tip into the head and pull by hand or with pliers until tight, without crushing the cables. Cut off the excess flush with cutting pliers, without leaving sharp points. Outdoors, choose ties that are resistant to UV rays.
