What it is
One-piece polyethylene tray of about 5 m² for horizontal subsurface flow constructed wetland systems. Filled with layers of gravel, soil and marsh plants, it treats domestic and similar wastewater, keeping the water level a few centimetres below the surface. It is used downstream of pre-treatment for homes, farm stays, campsites and small communities.
Wastewater treatment systems are tanks, treatment units, pumping stations and components such as blowers, diffusers, control panels and covers for treating and pumping wastewater.
What it is for
Used for filtering system water, in the installation and maintenance of plumbing systems and for pipe laying.
How to use it
Bury the tanks on a level bedding layer, connect inlet and outlet at the correct falls and backfill while gradually filling them with water to balance the soil pressure. Have blowers, pumps and control panels connected by an electrician and keep them protected from water. Inspect the system through the covers, clean the diffusers and have the sludge emptied regularly.
