Abrasive Sheets and Pads for Delta Sanders

Abrasive sheets and pads designed for delta sanders, machines with a triangular plate that reach into corners and tight spots. They are used to sand and finish wood and surfaces to be painted.

Types available

• Triangular sheets with perforations and hook-and-loop backing (Makita, DeWalt).
• Abrasive paper for delta sanders in 93 x 93 mm and 100 x 150 mm formats (Makita, Milwaukee).
• Abrasive mesh of the Powergrid Mesh type, which lets dust pass through (Milwaukee, DeWalt).

How to choose

Check the shape and size of your sander's plate and the arrangement of the holes, which is needed for dust extraction. Then choose the grit: low for rough sanding, high for finishing. Mesh tends to clog less than traditional paper.

Sheets should be replaced when the abrasive has worn down or become clogged with dust: continuing to use them slows the work and heats the surface. Keeping several grits to hand allows you to move from rough sanding to finishing without stopping.
