Abrasive Belts for Belt Sanders

Endless abrasive belts for portable belt sanders, electric files and sharpeners. They are used to remove stock, sand and finish wood and metal.

Types available

• Belts for belt sanders in sizes such as 75 x 533, 76 x 457, 100 x 560 and 100 x 610 mm (Makita, Fervi, DeWalt).
• Narrow cloth belts for electric files, such as 330 x 10 and 457 x 13 mm (Milwaukee).
• Abrasive cloth belts and belts for sharpeners.

How to choose

The first check is the size: the width and length of the belt must match exactly those specified for the machine. Then choose the grit (coarse for stock removal, fine for finishing) and the type of abrasive according to the material: wood or metal.

Fit the belt following the direction of rotation marked on the back, where present, and replace it as soon as it stops cutting, to avoid overheating the workpiece. For different jobs it is worth keeping several grits of the same size to hand.
