Respiratory Protection
32 products · Head and Face Protection
Devices that protect the airways from dust, fumes, vapours and gases during site and workshop work: dust masks, half masks, filters and spare parts.
Product types
- Gas and vapour filters (Irudek, Portwest), in classes such as A1 and ABEK1.
- Combined particulate filters, such as ABEK1 P3 and A1 P3.
- Particulate pre-filters and pre-filter retaining rings (Neri).
- Disposable dust masks and half masks (Rubi).
How to choose
The filter must be chosen according to the hazard you need protection from: the letter indicates the type of gas or vapour (A for organic vapours, B for inorganic gases, E for acid gases, K for ammonia) and P3 indicates high protection against dust. The filter must be compatible with the mask in use. Filters must be replaced according to the manufacturer's instructions and stored in their intact packaging.

Frequently asked questions: Respiratory Protection
Which respiratory protection is needed against dust?
For dust, use FFP filtering facepieces, compliant with UNI EN 149. Classes FFP1, FFP2 and FFP3 indicate increasing levels of filtration. The choice depends on the concentration and toxicity of the dust.
Which filter is needed for gases and vapours?
For gases and vapours, specific activated carbon filters are needed, identified by a letter on the filter: A for organic gases, B for inorganic ones, E for acids, K for ammonia. The type must be chosen according to the substance present in the environment.
Does a filtering facepiece protect against everything?
No. A filtering facepiece does not supply oxygen and does not protect against gases or vapours. It must not be used in oxygen-poor environments or where concentrations are unknown.
How do you check that the mask fits?
Before every use, carry out the fit test specified by the manufacturer: put on the facepiece, cover it lightly with your hands, and exhale or inhale. If air enters at the edges, readjust it. Facial hair prevents a seal.
