How to choose

Start from the material to be cut and the length of the cut. For cables and wires you need purpose-made scissors, sturdy and with a serrated blade; for fabric and cardboard universal scissors are enough. Check the blade material, the comfort of the handle and whether the blade can be re-sharpened. For knives, the length and shape of the blade matter, depending on the job.
