Draught Excluders
31 products
Draught excluders seal the gaps around doors and windows against draughts, dust and heat loss. In this collection you will find self-adhesive seals and profiles for window and door frames, mainly from the Panfilm brand.
Types available
- Self-adhesive rubber seals, in rolls of different thickness, to be stuck onto frames and rebates.
- Rubber profiles for gaps of a few millimetres, such as the Clima OK Gum line.
- Seals for timber windows and doors, in profiles to be fitted into the groove.
- Fabric draught excluders and draught strips for doors.
- Reflective insulating materials for areas near stoves.
How to choose
Measure the gap to be closed: the seal must compress when the window or door is shut, without preventing it from closing. Choose between self-adhesive and fit-in types according to the frame, and clean and degrease the surface thoroughly before sticking so that the adhesive holds. Wider gaps call for thicker profiles or profiles with a large cross-section.

Frequently asked questions: Draught Excluders
How do you choose an adhesive seal to close draughts around a window?
Measure the gap: depth, width and the surface to stick to. Adhesive rubber seals are chosen according to thickness, because they must fill the space without preventing the window or door from closing. For gaps of a few millimetres there are profiles such as those in the Clima OK Gum line. Clean and dry the surface before sticking.
What is the difference between seals for wooden window frames and rubber ones?
Seals for wooden window frames are profiles to be inserted into the groove, and are chosen according to the profile code and the size of the rebate. Rubber or PVC seals, such as the Clima OK versions, are elastic and are stuck on or inserted depending on the type. Compare the existing profile with the one in the catalogue before buying.
What is a fabric draught excluder and when is it better than an aluminium one?
The fabric draught excluder rests on the base of the door or sash and is easy to move, which is useful if you want a removable solution. The aluminium model, such as the Ecoapplique, is fixed to the door and stays in place. Choose the type according to how often you want to remove it and the width of the threshold.
How do you use a door-bottom seal to stop draughts under a door?
The door-bottom seal is fitted to the base of the door, on the bottom edge, to block the passage of air and dust. It must be measured according to the width of the door and the gap underneath. Check that it does not rub on the floor, because excessive height can stop the door from opening.
Do I need a window seal when using a portable air conditioner?
For portable air conditioners there is a fabric seal with a zip, to be fitted to the window to close the gap around the exhaust hose. It helps reduce air loss and the entry of outside air. Measure the window space before choosing the model and check that the exhaust hose fits through the intended opening.
Which reflective insulation materials should I use near stoves?
Reflective insulation is applied to the areas near stoves, to limit heat loss towards the wall and reflect heat back into the room. Before applying it, check the safety distance from the stove given by the manufacturer, and never cover the heat source. Clean the surface and fix the material carefully.
How much seal do I need for a standard window or door frame?
The amount needed depends on the perimeter of the window or door and on the rebates it is to be applied to. Measure the total perimeter, add a margin for cuts and overlaps, and choose the roll width according to the contact surface. It is a good idea to have one extra piece in case of cutting errors.
