What it is

The Fervi ST1A10.25 is a Ø 10.25 mm twist drill bit intended for professional drilling in non-standard diameters. The flute ensures orderly chip flow, helping to maintain consistent hole quality even in the most demanding operations, while the 118° point angle offers a good balance between centring and penetration speed. A hardness of 700-740 HV gives the cutting edge wear resistance suited to repeated work cycles.

A metal drill bit is an HSS or cobalt twist drill, with a straight or taper shank, for drilling steel, non-ferrous metals and plastics.

What it is for

Used for drilling steel, stainless steel and aluminium, on a pillar drill or with a hand-held drill and in workshop machining of steel, aluminium and alloy parts.

How to use it

Clamp the workpiece in a vice, mark the centre and set the speed for the diameter and material: low for hard steels and large diameters, higher for aluminium and plastic. Lubricate with cutting oil on steel; on plastic, reduce the pressure as the bit breaks through to avoid chipping. Insert taper-shank drills into the pillar drill's spindle taper and remove them with a drift.
