What it is
The Fervi P064/09.00 ground cylindrical drill bit is a cutting tool designed for precision drilling of metals, with a diameter of Ø 09.00 mm and a 135° point angle that ensures a centred start and uniform feed. The ground body ensures tight tolerances and rotational stability under load. The product is of certified Italian manufacture and complies with Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC with CE marking.
A metal drill bit is an HSS or cobalt twist drill, with a straight or taper shank, for drilling steel, non-ferrous metals and plastics.
What it is for
Used for drilling steel, stainless steel and aluminium, on a pillar drill or with a hand-held drill and in workshop machining of steel, aluminium and alloy parts.
How to use it
Clamp the workpiece in a vice, mark the centre and set the speed for the diameter and material: low for hard steels and large diameters, higher for aluminium and plastic. Lubricate with cutting oil on steel; on plastic, reduce the pressure as the bit breaks through to avoid chipping. Insert taper-shank drills into the pillar drill's spindle taper and remove them with a drift.
