What it is

The Fervi P065/13.00 cobalt twist drill bit, with a Ø 13.00 mm diameter, is a robust cutting tool for professional drilling of high-strength metals. The 135° point angle and the hardness of between 800 and 900 HV ensure effective cutting and remarkable edge retention, even in the most intensive operations on hard steels and stainless steels.

A metal drill bit is an HSS or cobalt twist drill, with a straight or taper shank, for drilling steel, non-ferrous metals and plastics.

What it is for

Used for drilling steel, stainless steel and aluminium, on a pillar drill or with a hand-held drill and in workshop machining of steel, aluminium and alloy parts.

How to use it

Clamp the workpiece in a vice, mark the centre and set the speed for the diameter and material: low for hard steels and large diameters, higher for aluminium and plastic. Lubricate with cutting oil on steel; on plastic, reduce the pressure as the bit breaks through to avoid chipping. Insert taper-shank drills into the pillar drill's spindle taper and remove them with a drift.
