What it is
The Fervi P023/02.00L long straight-shank twist drill bit, with a diameter of Ø 2.00 mm, is a cutting tool designed for deep drilling where the hole must reach areas that are difficult to get to. The 135° point angle and the hardness of 770-830 HV provide an accurate cut and good edge strength, maintaining consistent performance even on metal materials.
A metal drill bit is an HSS or cobalt twist drill, with a straight or taper shank, for drilling steel, non-ferrous metals and plastics.
What it is for
Used for drilling steel, stainless steel and aluminium, on a pillar drill or with a hand-held drill and in workshop machining of steel, aluminium and alloy parts.
How to use it
Clamp the workpiece in a vice, mark the centre and set the speed for the diameter and material: low for hard steels and large diameters, higher for aluminium and plastic. Lubricate with cutting oil on steel; on plastic, reduce the pressure as the bit breaks through to avoid chipping. Insert taper-shank drills into the pillar drill's spindle taper and remove them with a drift.
