What it is
The Fischer ETR "U" clamp is a bracket-type fixing element designed for clamping pipes and cylindrical elements, with a nominal size of 1 1/2 in and a length L2 of 38 mm. It is packed in a box of 10 pieces and offers a practical solution for supporting pipes from load-bearing structures.
A pipe clip is a metal or plastic band, often with a rubber insert, that wraps around a pipe and fixes it to a wall, a ceiling or a rail with a screw, wall plug or threaded rod. Light, heavy-duty, noise- and heat-insulating versions are available, as well as versions for downpipes and flues.

Used for installing building services and plant and for supporting pipework and ductwork.
How to use it
Choose a clip with the diameter of the pipe and the right load rating. Fix it to the support with the right anchor, insert the pipe and tighten the screw until it holds the pipe without crushing it. Versions with a rubber insert dampen vibration and noise. On lines that expand with temperature, leave the movement free on the sliding clips and lock the pipe only at the fixed points.
