What it is

A hydraulic power pack is a portable engine-pump unit that supplies pressurised oil to drive hydraulic tools such as breakers, core drills, saws and pumps.

What it is for

Used to power construction sites where mains supply is unavailable or insufficient, for powering electric and pneumatic tools and in compressed air systems, from generation in the compressor room to distribution on the shop floor.

How to use it

Set it on level ground, away from the edge of excavations, and outdoors or in a ventilated area if it has a combustion engine. Check the hydraulic oil and fuel levels, connect the hoses to the tool with clean quick couplers while the unit is stopped, then start it and set the flow rate required by the tool. At the end of the job, disconnect the hoses only after releasing the pressure, and cap the couplers.
