Clear plastic float, 1 mm, reinforced backing, Sintesi handle, 817/RS1 TRASP Pavan

What it is

Pavan finishing trowel, code 817/RS1 TRASP, with a 1 mm thick transparent plastic blade on an aluminium support with reinforced fitting and Sintesi handle. In the 817 family the 1 mm blade is the thinnest (there are 1.5 and 2.5 mm versions) and therefore the most flexible; the transparency lets you see the material under the blade. Sizes 200x80, 240x100 and 280x120 mm, packs of 6.

A float is a hand tool with a plate in plastic, sponge, rubber, polyurethane or steel for spreading, smoothing or finishing renders, mortars, fillers and resins.

What it is for

Used for finishing plaster, from floating to smoothing, for plastering walls and ceilings, by hand or by machine and for skimming walls and ceilings before painting.

How to use it

Choose the plate for the job: steel or notched for spreading and smoothing, sponge for finishing, rubber for grouting and resins. Work with the plate almost flat in circular or criss-cross movements, dampening the sponge when needed. After use, wash it immediately with water before the material hardens and replace the sponge when worn.
