What it is

The DeWalt XR 18V kit pairs the DCD996 3-speed hammer drill with the DCF887 impact driver, powered by the 18V cordless platform with 5Ah batteries. The drill's 3-speed design offers flexibility in moving from precision drilling to high-torque applications, while the impact driver ensures effective tightening, all sharing the same battery system.

What it is for

Used for repetitive screwdriving into wood, metal and plasterboard, where torque and consistency matter, for drilling a range of materials, with the right bit for the substrate and for drilling reinforced concrete, in hammer or rotary hammer mode.

How to use it

Fully charge the batteries before first use and swap them between the tools in the kit. Fit the appropriate accessory, drill bit or screwdriver bit, select the speed, mode and clutch setting and work holding the tool firmly. Always remove the battery before changing accessories and put everything back in the case, away from damp and heat.
