Step drill bit Extreme 5-35mm, 2mm step, DeWalt DT90247-QZ

What it is

The DeWalt DT90247-QZ Extreme step drill bit allows holes of different diameters to be drilled with a single tool, up to a maximum size of 35 mm thanks to its progressive steps. The titanium finish on the head improves smoothness during drilling, while the round shank ensures it can be fitted to many drills. It is supplied in a single pack.

Drill bits include individual bits and assorted sets for drilling metal, wood and masonry, including step drills and SDS-Plus bits.

What it is for

Used for drilling steel, stainless steel and aluminium, on a pillar drill or with a hand-held drill and in workshop machining of steel, aluminium and alloy parts.

How to use it

Choose the bit suited to the material: HSS or cobalt for metal, brad-point bit for wood, carbide-tipped with hammer action for masonry. Fit it securely, drill in line with the speed set for the diameter, and withdraw it frequently to clear the chips. Use step drills on thin sheet metal, advancing to the step of the required diameter.
