What it is

The DeWalt DCS389NT-XJ is a reciprocating saw from the XR FlexVolt 54V platform, developed for powerful, continuous cutting in the heaviest work. With a no-load stroke speed adjustable from 0 to 3000 strokes per minute, it offers full control over different materials: it cuts up to 300 mm in wood, 130 mm in steel sections and tubes and 160 mm in PVC. The body measures 455 mm long and 175 mm high, with a low weight of 3.54 kg that eases prolonged use.

What it is for

How to use it

Fit the blade suited to the material in the quick-release holder and clamp the workpiece. With the reciprocating saw, rest the shoe against the workpiece before starting and hold the machine with both hands; with the jigsaw, rest the base plate on the workpiece and follow the line without forcing. Before cutting into walls or floors, make sure there are no cables or pipes.
