What it is

The DeWalt DT4919-QZ gathers 10 metal drill bits with a diameter of 2.5 mm in HSS-Co cobalt-alloyed high-speed steel, a material chosen for its heat resistance during drilling. Each bit has a working length of 30 mm and a total length of 57 mm, with a cylindrical tri-flat shank that ensures a stable grip in the chuck. The loose supply of 10 pieces is designed for those who frequently use up small diameters.

How to use it

Mark the centre with a centre punch, clamp the workpiece and drill at a speed that is lower the larger the diameter and the harder the material. Maintain steady pressure, lubricate with cutting oil on steel and stainless steel and, for large diameters, drill a pilot hole first. Withdraw the bit frequently to clear the swarf, and never touch the swarf with bare hands.
