What it is

The DeWalt DT4944-QZ is a supply of 5 metal drill bits with a diameter of 10.5 mm in cobalt high-speed steel, with a cobalt cutting edge designed to withstand the high temperatures generated when drilling steel. Each bit offers a working length of 87 mm and an overall length of 133 mm, dimensions that ensure good penetration even through substantial thicknesses while maintaining tool stability.

How to use it

Mark the centre with a centre punch, clamp the workpiece and drill at a speed that is lower the larger the diameter and the harder the material. Maintain steady pressure, lubricate with cutting oil on steel and stainless steel and, for large diameters, drill a pilot hole first. Withdraw the bit frequently to clear the swarf, and never touch the swarf with bare hands.
