What it is

The DeWalt DT6708-QZ masonry drill bit is a drilling tool designed for working concrete with hammer drills. With a diameter of 8 mm and a working length of 230 mm, it offers a penetration capacity suited to the most common fixings; the body, 41.5 cm long overall and light at 0.135 kg, ensures easy handling during prolonged use. The round connection shank makes it compatible with conventional chucks.

A masonry bit is a carbide-tipped bit for drilling concrete, brick and stone with a hammer drill or rotary hammer.

How to use it

Choose the machine's shank type (straight, SDS-Plus or SDS-Max) and the diameter required by the wall plug. Start the hole at low speed, then engage hammer action, holding the bit square to the surface and without forcing, withdrawing it frequently to clear the dust. Clean the dust out of the hole before inserting the plug.
