4-flute SDS-plus bit DeWalt DT9690-QZ

What it is

The DeWalt DT9690-QZ SDS-Plus drill bit is a 4-cutter tool with a 25 mm diameter, an overall length of 250 mm and 200 mm of usable working length. The carbide-insert head and four cutters ensure fast, well-centred hammer drilling in concrete, with greater resistance when rebar is encountered. The SDS PLUS shank allows quick changes in hammers and rotary hammers.

A masonry bit is a carbide-tipped bit for drilling concrete, brick and stone with a hammer drill or rotary hammer.

Used for drilling reinforced concrete, in hammer or rotary hammer mode and for drilling solid and hollow masonry, clay brick and blocks.

How to use it

Choose the machine's shank type (straight, SDS-Plus or SDS-Max) and the diameter required by the wall plug. Start the hole at low speed, then engage hammer action, holding the bit square to the surface and without forcing, withdrawing it frequently to clear the dust. Clean the dust out of the hole before inserting the plug.
