What it is

The DeWalt DT9839 SDS-Plus Extreme 2 drill bit is a professional drilling accessory with a 12 mm diameter, an overall length of 160 mm and a working length of 110 mm. The 2-cutter configuration and carbide-tooth head ensure precise, even holes in concrete, while the SDS-Plus shank allows quick engagement in hammer drills and full transmission of the hammering action. It is supplied in a multipack of 10 pieces, ideal for intensive use of the same size.

A masonry bit is a carbide-tipped bit for drilling concrete, brick and stone with a hammer drill or rotary hammer.

Used for drilling reinforced concrete, in hammer or rotary hammer mode and for drilling solid and hollow masonry, clay brick and blocks.

How to use it

Choose the machine's shank type (straight, SDS-Plus or SDS-Max) and the diameter required by the wall plug. Start the hole at low speed, then engage hammer action, holding the bit square to the surface and without forcing, withdrawing it frequently to clear the dust. Clean the dust out of the hole before inserting the plug.
