What it is

Orbital and random orbital sander abrasives are paper or cloth discs and sheets, with hook-and-loop or clamp fixing, and the backing pads they fit onto.
What it is for
Used for sanding surfaces before painting, for sanding surfaces, as preparation or as a finish and for sanding wood before varnishing or finishing.
How to use it
Choose a disc or sheet with the same shape and hole pattern as the pad and centre it so that the extraction holes line up. Start with a coarse grit and move to finer grits up to the finish. Sand with the machine flat, light pressure and continuous movement, and change the abrasive when it is clogged.
