"Autoblock" cable ties

What it is

Clamps and ties are tightening collars, metal worm-drive or plastic ratchet types, that grip hoses, sleeves or cables to secure them to fittings and supports.

What it is for

Used for mechanical fixing of structures and components to walls, ceilings and floors, in the installation and maintenance of plumbing systems and in mechanical maintenance of machinery and plant, during scheduled shutdowns or breakdowns.

How to use it

Choose a clamp with a clamping range suited to the diameter to be secured. Slide the worm-drive clamp onto the hose, position it on the hose tail beyond the barb and tighten it with a screwdriver or spanner without cutting into the rubber; cut worm-drive band sold by the metre to length and close it with its screw. Close plastic cable ties by pulling the tail and trim the excess flush.
