Vulcanised fibre discs Fervi DFV180/060A

What it is

Fervi DFV180/060A vulcanised fibre discs with hook-and-loop backing are large-diameter abrasives for intermediate sanding of metals. The Ø 180 mm diameter and grit 60 offer a good compromise between removal rate and surface quality over large working areas. The 0.8 mm backing thickness ensures stability in use, while the hook-and-loop attachment allows quick fitting and replacement. The product complies with Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, is CE marked and is of certified Italian production.

A grinding disc is an abrasive disc that removes burrs, weld beads, rust and paint from metal and prepares or finishes its surface.

What it is for

Used for grinding parts and sharpening tools, for deburring metal after cutting and drilling and for grinding and cleaning up weld seams and burrs.

How to use it

Fit it on the angle grinder or suitable backing pad, checking that its diameter, bore and maximum speed are compatible with the machine, and with the guard in place. Work with the disc tilted a few degrees to the workpiece, moving it back and forth without forcing. Never use a grinding disc for cutting, and replace it if cracked or worn; wear safety glasses or a face shield and gloves.
