Ceramic Raptor flap disc Fervi DF9801.322

What it is

The Fervi DF9801.322 raptor ceramic flap disc is made with a ceramic abrasive on a fibreglass backing, for high-performance grinding and finishing of metals. The raptor range focuses on high cutting capacity and durability: the flaps wear gradually, renewing the abrasive grain and keeping output constant in demanding work. The fibreglass backing ensures mechanical strength and safety in operation, while the ceramic offers longevity and removal power on steel and stainless steel.

A flap disc is an abrasive made of overlapping cloth flaps, on a disc for angle grinders or on a shank for straight grinders, that roughs down and finishes metal and wood.

What it is for

Used for sanding metal, from roughing to finishing, for deburring metal after cutting and drilling and for grinding and cleaning up weld seams and burrs.

How to use it

Fit the disc on the angle grinder, or insert the shank-mounted flap wheel in the collet of the straight grinder or drill, observing the maximum speed. Work with light pressure at a slight angle, keeping the tool moving so as not to overheat or mark the workpiece. Progress from coarse to fine grits for finishing, and replace the disc when the cloth is worn down to the backing.
