What it is

The flap disc Smartflex Dual Flap Fervi DN2300.124 is an industrial abrasive designed for smoothing and finishing metals. The zirconia flaps ensure toughness and uniform performance even in the most demanding work, while the 0-15° angle promotes a flat approach and precise control over the surface being treated.

A flap disc is an abrasive made of overlapping cloth flaps, on a disc for angle grinders or on a shank for straight grinders, that roughs down and finishes metal and wood.

What it is for

Used for sanding metal, from roughing to finishing, for deburring metal after cutting and drilling and for grinding and cleaning up weld seams and burrs.

How to use it

Fit the disc on the angle grinder, or insert the shank-mounted flap wheel in the collet of the straight grinder or drill, observing the maximum speed. Work with light pressure at a slight angle, keeping the tool moving so as not to overheat or mark the workpiece. Progress from coarse to fine grits for finishing, and replace the disc when the cloth is worn down to the backing.
