Weldon-type milling cutter chuck Fervi 4/25D50

What it is

The Fervi 4/25D50 Weldon end mill holder is a robust tool holder for clamping cylindrical-shank milling cutters by means of a side screw lock. The ISO 50 taper version is designed for higher-power machines; the Ø 25 mm bore diameter and d1 - h6 tolerances ensure precise, repeatable mounting.

These are chucks with a tapered shank, often Morse taper, that hold milling cutters or drill bits and fit into the taper of the machine tool.

What it is for

Used for milling faces, shoulders and slots on machine tools and in workshop machining of steel, aluminium and alloy parts.

How to use it

Clean the taper and the socket thoroughly of oil and swarf, then insert the shank with a slight twist and a firm push so that the taper seats. Tighten the tool with the specified key or drawbar. To remove it, use the proper tool, without striking the chuck.
