Weldon-type milling cutter chuck Fervi 4/40D50

What it is

The Fervi 4/40D50 Weldon end mill holder is a large-capacity tool holder for clamping cylindrical-shank milling cutters with a side lock. Made with an ISO 50 taper to MAS-403 BT and d1 - h6 tolerances, it ensures a rigid, concentric fit even in the heaviest machining.

These are chucks with a tapered shank, often Morse taper, that hold milling cutters or drill bits and fit into the taper of the machine tool.

What it is for

Used for milling faces, shoulders and slots on machine tools and in workshop machining of steel, aluminium and alloy parts.

How to use it

Clean the taper and the socket thoroughly of oil and swarf, then insert the shank with a slight twist and a firm push so that the taper seats. Tighten the tool with the specified key or drawbar. To remove it, use the proper tool, without striking the chuck.
