Thickness planer Fervi 0517A

What it is

The Fervi 0517A thicknesser is a woodworking machine for calibrating and for controlled thickness reduction of boards and battens. It features a Ø 51.5 mm cutterblock with 2 knives rotating at 8500 rpm, driven by a 230 V 50 Hz 1.5 kW motor. The work table measures 330 x 238 mm and the thicknessing capacity is 330 x 2.4 x 152 mm. Compact, it measures 710 x 640 x 400 mm and has a net weight of 35 kg (38 kg gross).

The surface planer and thicknesser is a stationary machine with a bed and a cutterblock with knives, which flattens one face of the timber and brings it to a uniform thickness.

Used for woodworking in the joinery shop and in woodworking, from cutting to finishing.

How to use it

Set the depth of cut and feed the timber with the grain, keeping the hands away from the cutterblock and using push sticks. Take one pass at a time, without forcing. Disconnect the machine for any adjustment or knife change, and use extraction for the shavings.
