What it is

The Fervi P058/06.75 parallel-shank twist drill bit, with a diameter of Ø 6.75 mm, is a cutting tool that complies with DIN 338. The hardness of 740-780 HV contributes to wear resistance and cutting-edge retention, while the 135° point angle ensures precise centring and steady drilling from the very first contact. What it is for

How to use it

Clamp the workpiece in a vice, mark the centre and set the speed for the diameter and material: low for hard steels and large diameters, higher for aluminium and plastic. Lubricate with cutting oil on steel; on plastic, reduce the pressure as the bit breaks through to avoid chipping. Insert taper-shank drills into the pillar drill's spindle taper and remove them with a drift.
