Cylindrical twist drill bit Fervi P058/07.00

What it is

The Fervi P058/07.00 parallel-shank twist drill bit is a cutting tool designed for precision drilling, with a diameter of Ø 7.00 mm and a 135° point angle, a geometry that promotes a firm, well-centred start in the material. Built to DIN 338 and with a hardness of between 740 and 780 HV, it offers good wear resistance and a cutting edge that stays sharp even in repeated machining. Italian manufacture is certified and the tool complies with Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, with CE marking.

A metal drill bit is an HSS or cobalt twist drill, with a straight or taper shank, for drilling steel, non-ferrous metals and plastics.

What it is for

Used for drilling steel, stainless steel and aluminium, on a pillar drill or with a hand-held drill and in workshop machining of steel, aluminium and alloy parts.

How to use it

Clamp the workpiece in a vice, mark the centre and set the speed for the diameter and material: low for hard steels and large diameters, higher for aluminium and plastic. Lubricate with cutting oil on steel; on plastic, reduce the pressure as the bit breaks through to avoid chipping. Insert taper-shank drills into the pillar drill's spindle taper and remove them with a drift.
