Cylindrical twist drill bit Fervi P058/10.50

What it is

The Fervi P058/10.50 parallel-shank twist drill bit offers a diameter of Ø 10.50 mm and is designed for professional drilling of metals. The geometry with a 135° point angle ensures a stable start and precise centring, while the hardness of 740-780 HV gives it wear resistance and a long service life. Manufactured to DIN 338, it is certified Italian-made and complies with Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, with CE marking.

A metal drill bit is an HSS or cobalt twist drill, with a straight or taper shank, for drilling steel, non-ferrous metals and plastics.

What it is for

Used for drilling steel, stainless steel and aluminium, on a pillar drill or with a hand-held drill and in workshop machining of steel, aluminium and alloy parts.

How to use it

Clamp the workpiece in a vice, mark the centre and set the speed for the diameter and material: low for hard steels and large diameters, higher for aluminium and plastic. Lubricate with cutting oil on steel; on plastic, reduce the pressure as the bit breaks through to avoid chipping. Insert taper-shank drills into the pillar drill's spindle taper and remove them with a drift.
