Cylindrical twist drill bit Fervi ST1A11.75R10

What it is

The Fervi ST1A11.75R10 is a twist drill bit with a cutting diameter of Ø 11.75 mm and a reduced shank of Ø 10 mm, a configuration that makes it possible to produce a larger-diameter hole while keeping a shank compatible with chucks up to 10 mm. The flute promotes orderly chip discharge, while the 118° point angle ensures precise centring and a stable start. A hardness of 700-740 HV gives the cutting edge wear resistance in professional use.

How to use it

Clamp the workpiece in a vice, mark the centre and set the speed for the diameter and material: low for hard steels and large diameters, higher for aluminium and plastic. Lubricate with cutting oil on steel; on plastic, reduce the pressure as the bit breaks through to avoid chipping. Insert taper-shank drills into the pillar drill's spindle taper and remove them with a drift.
