What it is

The Fervi ST1A12.25 twist drill bit, with a Ø 12.25 mm diameter, is designed for professional drilling that calls for precise intermediate sizes. The spiral profile helps eject the chips while keeping the cutting zone tidy, while the 118° point angle ensures stable entry and reliable centring on the workpiece. The hardness of 700-740 HV gives the cutting edge good durability even in repeated operations and extended cycles.

What it is for

Used for drilling steel, stainless steel and aluminium, on a pillar drill or with a hand-held drill and in workshop machining of steel, aluminium and alloy parts.

How to use it

Clamp the workpiece in a vice, mark the centre and set the speed for the diameter and material: low for hard steels and large diameters, higher for aluminium and plastic. Lubricate with cutting oil on steel; on plastic, reduce the pressure as the bit breaks through to avoid chipping. Insert taper-shank drills into the pillar drill's spindle taper and remove them with a drift.
