Cylindrical cobalt twist drill bit Fervi P065/11.75

What it is

The Fervi P065/11.75 is a straight-shank twist drill bit in cobalt alloy of Ø 11.75 mm, sized for precision drilling of hard metals. Thanks to the 135° point angle and a hardness of 800-900 HV, it keeps its cutting edge sharp for longer and withstands the thermal stresses typical of intensive machining of steel. It is the solution to rely on when standard HSS drill bits are not enough.

A metal drill bit is an HSS or cobalt twist drill, with a straight or taper shank, for drilling steel, non-ferrous metals and plastics.

What it is for

Used for drilling steel, stainless steel and aluminium, on a pillar drill or with a hand-held drill and in workshop machining of steel, aluminium and alloy parts.

How to use it

Clamp the workpiece in a vice, mark the centre and set the speed for the diameter and material: low for hard steels and large diameters, higher for aluminium and plastic. Lubricate with cutting oil on steel; on plastic, reduce the pressure as the bit breaks through to avoid chipping. Insert taper-shank drills into the pillar drill's spindle taper and remove them with a drift.
