Long cylindrical twist drill bit Fervi P023/06.75L

What it is

With a diameter of Ø 6.75 mm and a point angle of 135°, the Fervi P023/06.75L long straight-shank twist drill bit is a drilling tool for professional work on metal. The blunt-point grind allows secure, regular centring, while the 770-830 HV hardness offers wear resistance and cutting-edge stability in repeated machining. The long version provides a greater useful travel, handy when additional depth is needed.

What it is for

Used for drilling steel, stainless steel and aluminium, on a pillar drill or with a hand-held drill and in workshop machining of steel, aluminium and alloy parts.

How to use it

Clamp the workpiece in a vice, mark the centre and set the speed for the diameter and material: low for hard steels and large diameters, higher for aluminium and plastic. Lubricate with cutting oil on steel; on plastic, reduce the pressure as the bit breaks through to avoid chipping. Insert taper-shank drills into the pillar drill's spindle taper and remove them with a drift.
