What it is
The Fervi P023/02.90 straight shank twist drill bit is a cutting tool with a diameter of Ø 2.9 mm, suitable for precise drilling in metal and similar materials. Made to DIN 338 with a 135° point angle, it ensures clean centring and smooth feed into the material. The hardness of 770-830 HV ensures good cutting-edge durability.

What it is for
Used for drilling steel, stainless steel and aluminium, on a pillar drill or with a hand-held drill and in workshop machining of steel, aluminium and alloy parts.
How to use it
Clamp the workpiece in a vice, mark the centre and set the speed for the diameter and material: low for hard steels and large diameters, higher for aluminium and plastic. Lubricate with cutting oil on steel; on plastic, reduce the pressure as the bit breaks through to avoid chipping. Insert taper-shank drills into the pillar drill's spindle taper and remove them with a drift.
