Flap wheel, abrasive cloth, Fervi RLP100/C

What it is

The Fervi RLP100/C abrasive cloth flap wheel is an accessory of Ø 100 mm diameter made with cloth flaps, designed for finishing and satin-finishing surfaces. The cloth backing gives the abrasive greater flexibility, adapting well to profiles and irregular shapes and promoting a soft, uniform finish. The product is certified Italian-made and complies with Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, with CE marking.

A flap disc is an abrasive made of overlapping cloth flaps, on a disc for angle grinders or on a shank for straight grinders, that roughs down and finishes metal and wood.

What it is for

Used for finishing surfaces, for sanding metal, from roughing to finishing and for cleaning oxides, grease and machining residues from metal.

How to use it

Fit the disc on the angle grinder, or insert the shank-mounted flap wheel in the collet of the straight grinder or drill, observing the maximum speed. Work with light pressure at a slight angle, keeping the tool moving so as not to overheat or mark the workpiece. Progress from coarse to fine grits for finishing, and replace the disc when the cloth is worn down to the backing.
