What it is
The Fervi RLM100/060C mixed flap wheel for satin-finishing machines is an abrasive measuring 100x100 mm with grit 60, designed for use on satin-finishing machines. The mixed-flap construction combines abrasive components of different types to deliver a balanced smoothing and satin-finishing action, ideal for evening out metal surfaces and giving a consistent finish. The product is certified Italian-made and complies with Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, with CE marking.
A flap disc is an abrasive made of overlapping cloth flaps, on a disc for angle grinders or on a shank for straight grinders, that roughs down and finishes metal and wood.
What it is for
Used for sanding metal, from roughing to finishing, for deburring metal after cutting and drilling and for grinding and cleaning up weld seams and burrs.
How to use it
Fit the disc on the angle grinder, or insert the shank-mounted flap wheel in the collet of the straight grinder or drill, observing the maximum speed. Work with light pressure at a slight angle, keeping the tool moving so as not to overheat or mark the workpiece. Progress from coarse to fine grits for finishing, and replace the disc when the cloth is worn down to the backing.
