Hole saws and annular cutters are cylindrical cutting tools, toothed or carbide-tipped, for large holes with a drill or, with a Weldon shank, a magnetic drill.
What it is for
Used in steel fabrication, from cutting to assembly and for drilling steel, stainless steel and aluminium, on a pillar drill or with a hand-held drill.
How to use it
Fit the tool to the arbor or directly in the Weldon chuck, with a pilot drill or ejector pin. Secure the workpiece or the drill base firmly, set a speed suited to the diameter and material, and drill with a steady feed, lubricating on metal. When the hole is complete, eject the slug and check the sharpness of the cutting edges.
