What it is
With a diameter of Ø 31 mm, the Fervi F002/31L long annular cutter is a cutting tool designed to make clean, repeatable holes by removing only the ring of material, with higher performance than a conventional drill bit of the same size. The Weldon fitting allows firm, quick clamping on suitably equipped machines, a decisive factor for hole concentricity and a clean finish of the walls even on demanding thicknesses.
Hole saws and annular cutters are cylindrical cutting tools, toothed or carbide-tipped, for large holes with a drill or, with a Weldon shank, a magnetic drill.
What it is for
Used in steel fabrication, from cutting to assembly, for drilling steel, stainless steel and aluminium, on a pillar drill or with a hand-held drill and in metalworking.
How to use it
Fit the tool to the arbor or directly in the Weldon chuck, with a pilot drill or ejector pin. Secure the workpiece or the drill base firmly, set a speed suited to the diameter and material, and drill with a steady feed, lubricating on metal. When the hole is complete, eject the slug and check the sharpness of the cutting edges.
