What it is

Parallel tool for lathe and milling machine Fervi P014 is an assortment of precision parallel spacers, used to position and support workpieces at height on the vice or on the work surface during machining. The parallels measure 150 mm in length and 10 mm in thickness, with stepped heights from 14 to 50 mm (14-16-18-20-22-24-26-28-30-32-35-40-45-50), a hardness of HRC 60 and an accuracy of ± 0.005 mm. The set has a gross weight of 10.71 kg and is supplied in packaging measuring 370x185x65 mm.

A vice is a bench or machine fixture that holds the workpiece securely during machining; clamps and cramps are the portable version.

What it is for

Used for clamping workpieces, for milling faces, shoulders and slots on machine tools and in workshop machining of steel, aluminium and alloy parts.

How to use it

Secure the vice to the bench or machine table with suitable bolts. Clamp the workpiece in the centre of the jaws, using soft jaws on delicate surfaces, and never extend the handle with a pipe. Position clamps and cramps so that the pressure bears on the workpiece and not on its edge. Clean and lubricate the screw regularly.
