Universal joint Fervi JN402NA

What it is

The Fervi JN402NA universal joint is an accessory that connects sockets and fastening tools, allowing motion to be transmitted even at an angle between the tool and the bolt. With a length of 110 mm it offers good reach for off-axis threaded fasteners, while keeping a compact size (gross weight 0.55 kg).

The universal joint, or cardan joint, is a piece with a male and female square drive and a central articulation, which allows nuts and screws that are out of line to be turned with the ratchet.

What it is for

Used for vehicle maintenance, in the workshop and on the road and for tightening nuts and bolts where torque must be accurate and repeatable.

How to use it

Fit it between the ratchet, or the extension, and a socket of the same drive size, and work keeping the assembly steady with one hand near the socket. Avoid forcing at very steep angles, and do not use it with impact wrenches unless it is designed for them.
